Family Weekend

Standard

Saturday was my mother-in-law’s 50th birthday. We went to Buca di Beppo, and then saw “Now You See Me.”

I didn’t particularly like the movie. I think they could have fleshed out the script more. I didn’t understand the romantic interest in the movie. The characters had no chemistry, and then all of a sudden, they are kissing?? It didn’t make sense.

Afterwards, we went with Robert, Jocelyn, and Bryson to Mode M in LA. It was a little too alternative and weird for me. I was exhausted, so I fell asleep in a booth around 1.

My sister-in-law is back from grad school for the summer, so we went over to my in-laws on Sunday afternoon for BBQ, swimming, and watching “The Princess Diaries.” We also played Munchkin, which was what we gave my mother-in-law for her birthday.

I also got to try out my first bikini (AKA a fatkini), although I didn’t get a good picture of it. Maybe in Vegas next weekend I’ll get one.
